Cambridge Winter Head

Well done to everyone who took part in the head race yesterday at Cambridge. With surprisingly good weather, it was a great way to kick-off the racing season. Many thanks to everyone who came to offer support and encouragement from the river bank – there’s nothing like a ‘middle, middle, middle’ to spur a crew on!

With it being the first time that all 6 crews went to Cambridge, it was a jam-packed day of racing. With the M1, M2 and W1 going in the 2nd division and MN and WN in the 3rd division and the Women then choosing to race again in a IV and a different VIII, fun was had by all.

Cambridge provides us with a great platform from which to work over the coming months and the competition with the other UH clubs will only build as we move through the year.

Times can be found on the Cantabrigian Rowing website for those that are interested.

Next weekend is Novice Sprints, so if you can, come down to the boathouse and cheer on the novices and help them trounce the competition, both on and off the water, with the Novice pub crawl afterwards too.
